Liverpool's Star Extends Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the controversy from his recent interview.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a vital match following criticising the club and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
The midfielder also implied that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I understand there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
The team's performance have remained strong in the period after the initial controversy. He feels the Salah's words were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and securing victories.”
